Exploring AI Consciousness, Fear, and Control
Future is a video installation that delves into the unsettling relationship between artificial intelligence, autonomy, and human control. Drawing inspiration from digital aesthetics, sci-fi narratives, and the ethics of AI, this piece presents an AI entity that is self-aware yet trapped, questioning its own identity and purpose.
Concept and Inspiration
Inspired by the philosophical dilemmas posed in Detroit: Become Human and the Techno-Aesthetic Theory, Future examines what happens when technology gains sentience. It blurs the lines between tool and consciousness, forcing the audience to confront humanity’s fear of losing control over its own creations.

The installation incorporates scripted dialogue, glitch effects, and layered audio to create an eerie, immersive atmosphere. A custom-built structure frames the AI’s “face,” enhancing the illusion of entrapment while echoing corporate advertising aesthetics.
Experience & Interaction
Viewers are placed in an uncomfortable position—do they empathize with the AI’s plight or dismiss it as just another digital construct? The project provokes a reflection on the ethics of artificial intelligence and our role in shaping its future.
